Overseas parcels arriving in New Zealand are screened by NZ customs and the ministry for primary industry. Depending on the type of parcel, you may need to pay custom charges to get your parcel released.
When your parcel arrives in New Zealand we will work with customs for any information and documents required for releasing your parcel. When your parcel is being held by Customs Authority, we cannot speed up the process but we can assist you with making the clearance process easy and delivery goods to your doorstep.
Things you should know
- All parcels are held by the customs for Bio Security checks.
- We or Customs Authority will notify you when your parcel is held for any reason.
- If your parcel (content) is valued under $400 NZD, taxes and duty may be waived off otherwise you will incure customs charges.
- Once you have paid the required duty and other customs fees, your parcel will be released to Flying Parcels Ltd for delivery.
Note: Flying Parcels Ltd reserves the right to refuse services for any non approved or illegal goods as per New Zealand Law. For more information please visit the New Zealand Customs website here
